Our approach at Queen of Peace is research-informed and aligned with the MACS Vision for Instruction. We provide knowledge-rich, coherent and carefully sequenced Knowledge units where new learning builds on what students already know. Teachers explicitly teach key knowledge and skills, helping students build strong foundations, make connections and become confident, independent learners.
The learning areas of History, Science, Geography, Economics, Health, Civics and Citizenship and Design Technologies are taught through Explicit Teaching in Knowledge units.
